Grounds for Thought was established in 1992 by three brothers with an idea to provide great coffee, excellent service and an all-around fun place to be.
In 1994, the company was able to get exclusive coffee rights to Mesa Community College and Glendale Community College. After a couple of years with great success the company expanded in to several other locations, including: Phoenix Community College, Paradise Valley Community College, Mesa Lutheran Hospital and Valley Lutheran Hospital.
Sadly a bad economy struck the entire nation and people began cut back on things like gourmet coffee; so the company had to close several locations in the valley, all that remained where two locations (MCC and GCC).
Fortunately, hard work and perseverance prevailed and the company is now expanding once again.
